Liverpool's gun gangs exposed on TV

ACTOR Ross Kemp exposed Liverpool’s bitter gang feuding which lay behind the fatal shooting of 11-year-old Rhys Jones in a TV documentary last night.

During the hour-long programme on Sky One, he met members of both the Norris Green and Croxteth gangs, as well as seeing the efforts made by police and other authorities to stamp out gun violence.

Among the claims made by gang members was that they could obtain a gun within five minutes.

Mr Kemp said: “The gang wars in Norris Green and Croxteth aren’t really based on anything, it’s just tit-for-tat violence and that’s sad. And it’s not just Liverpool; it’s a growing problem in nearly every city across the UK.”
