POLICE have arrested three men and a youth following the murder of a 22-year-old stabbed as he tried to recover his younger brother’s bike.
Sean Finnan died on Friday afternoon after being stabbed in the leg and smashed over the head with a metal bar last Monday.
The victim suffered a cardiac arrest after the attack in Stockbridge Village, and died of complications four days later.
Yesterday, Merseyside Police said they had executed warrants for three men at three addresses in Stockbridge Village.
Two 21-year-olds and a 19-year-old were arrested, along with a youth, 17. They are now being questioned.
The stolen Silver Fox bike has now been recovered in woodland near to Little Wood Lodge between the M57 motorway and the B5194 road.
It was stolen from Mr Finnan’s brother, in Chelwood Avenue, Broadgreen, after he stopped to talk to some people he knew.
He left his bike leaning against a fence.
