High-flier joins international stars – and he’s only nine

A HIGH-FLYING nine-year-old from Merseyside will take his place in an international star- studded line-up at the British Supercross Championships at Liverpool’s Echo Arena.

Aaron Woodward, of Ellesmere Port, will be the youngest North West contender in action at the event next weekend.

Liverpool is hosting the second and third rounds of the Supercross championships.

Aaron will be in the junior 65cc group, and up against riders up to 12 years of age, after being moved up from the automatic group six months early, thanks to his performances on the track.

He will joined at the Echo Arena by defending SX1 championMike Brown, from Tennessee, USA, and defending SX2 champ Colton Facciotti, from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, who are returning to defend their respectivetitles.

The best of British riders will also be on show – and a first for Liverpool will be the introduction of quad bikes on Saturday for the inaugural time in the series history.
