Liverpool and Everton legends bring FA Cup to Liverpool ahead of Merseyside derby

FOOTBALL legends Ian Rush and Graeme Sharpe took the FA Cup on a whistle stop tour of the city yesterday ahead of Sunday’s Merseyside FA Cup derby at Anfield.

The former Liverpool and Everton players first displayed the cup in the atrium of the recently restored Grade II listed Port of Liverpool building, to the delight of onlookers.

The players then went on to the city’s Arena and Convention Centre complex, where staff had the opportunity to have their picture taken with the ex-Liverpool and Everton FC footballers as well as the trophy itself.

The visits were part of a nationwide tour organised by the FA and sponsors E.ON.
