THE case against a man charged with the Boxing Day manslaughter of his mother’s partner has been discontinued.
David Knight, 50, was accused of killing Patricia Gilfoyle, 70, at his home on Brunswick Road, Everton.
But Ian Davies, prosecuting, told Liverpool Crown Court there was insufficient evidence to continue.
