A TEENAGER who bit his ex-girlfriend’s nose in a drunken jealous rage has been given a second chance.
Steven O’Grady, 19, had been downing lager when he became enraged after seeing his former partner, Katie Campbell, talking to another man in Court Hey Park.
Liverpool Crown Court heard O’Grady dragged Ms Campbell away from her friends by her arm.
O’Grady, of Adcote Road, Huyton, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm on May 30, 2008, saying he had been drinking Stella Artois and it had “kicked me off”.
But he was spared custody by Judge Adrian Lyon, who heard he had responded well to a community order imposed for an affray committed after the attack.
Judge Lyon sentenced O’Grady to an 18-month community order with supervision, ordered him to attend a community domestic violence programme and pay £250 in compensation.
