JURORS have retired to consider their verdict in the trial of a gunman accused of attempting to kill two police officers.
Anthony Bennett is alleged to have pointed a loaded gun at two constables as they chased him in September, 2007.
The jury at Liverpool Crown Court heard that on three occasions Bennett, then 18, made death threats and pulled the trigger.
Bennett, 20, of Harebell Street, Kirkdale, has admitted possessing a weapon, but denies two counts of attempted murder and one of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The trial continues.
