ILLNESS and injury have made some of the Daily Post’s regular online picture contributors cast a fresh eye on their environment.
Sarah Bush, who uploads under the web title Lady Bracknell, has suffered with severe pain for several years.
She told the Daily Post: “The only way not to waste what little energy you have in railing against the unfairness of life is to consciously find enjoyment and pleasure within your ever-decreasing surroundings.
“So, even though I can now look up and take pictures of sunsets and tall buildings, I still see things that other people miss as they're striding purposefully past on their way to somewhere else.”
Meanwhile, Glynne Pritchard, or Dune UK, has undergone several operations since being knocked off his motorbike.
His ultra-modern portrait of Runcorn Bridge was taken while being driven around by his son Matt.
Being injured for a long period has done nothing to inhibit the former engineer from Rainford’s love of Victorian structures.
Meanwhile his son, another Flickr user, has uploaded his own shot loaded with close up significance.
He said: “ I was really attracted to the contrasting subjects, with harmless next to harmful, nature next to man-made and light next to dark.”
