A TEENAGER has been locked up for 4½ years for storing ammunition and drugs.
Officers arrested William McClellan, 18, when they saw him and another man acting suspiciously on Liverpool Road, Huyton.
They found nothing on him when he was strip searched at the police station, but four bags of heroin were later discovered in his cell and by the custody desk.
When officers went to his home on Nylands Road, Huyton, on December 11, 2007, they found 12 live rounds of pistol ammunition.
McClelland later admitted possession of heroin with intent to supply and possession of ammunition, but he insisted he had just been storing it for others.
He said he had only received the ammunition the day before.
Sending him to a Young Offenders' Institute, Judge William George said: "These are very serious offences.”
