FORMER Guantanamo Bay prisoner Binyam Mohamed had an emotional reunion with his sister last night as he was released from a UK air base. The British resident, who was held at the US jail for more than four years, was set free from RAF Northolt.
He had arrived there five hours earlier and was detained under border control rules which are part of the Terrorism Act 2000.
Mr Mohamed’s lawyer, Clive Stafford Smith, said: “He just wants to go to a place where he can be by himself with his sister and he can try to get his life together again.”
