Police in hunt for PO cash robbers

ROBBERS attacked a security guard outside a Liverpool post office sparking a police manhunt.

The guard was about to enter the Walton Post Office when two men launched their attack.

They stole the guard’s moneybox and then made their escape along Euston Street and Bedford Road.

The victim was not injured in the attack, on Wednesday, February 11. One of the offenders is about 30 years old, over 6ft tall and slim.

He was wearing black clothes including a woolly hat, gloves, and shoes and had a local accent. The second man was slightly shorter and also wore dark clothing.

Police are keen to trace a silver Vauxhall Cavalier or Vectra that was seen in the area at the time of the robbery.
