Liverpool Fashion Week: City fashion at its model best

LIVERPOOL Fashion Week started in style last night, marking the beginning of five days of stunning catwalk shows.

Yesterday’s opening show saw the style savvy descend upon the Adelphi Hotel and was hosted by ex-Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy presenter Julian Bennett.

Supermodel Sophie Anderton took to the stage and fashion designers included Flatley Dengus, Mark Mellier, The Dressing Room, Niel Re Poc, Ally Mac and Frederick & Madisson.

An official after-show party with Sophie Anderton followed the Liverpool Designers show, and was held at Natasha Hamilton’s H Bar, in Victoria Street.

Tonight’s event, also at the Adelphi Hotel, will see Hollyoaks actors Kent Riley, who plays Zak Ramsey, and Andy Moss, who plays Rhys Ashworth, host the show before the headlining lingerie model Caprice unveils her new underwear collection.

Caprice said: “I’m really looking forward to supporting Liverpool Fashion Week and showcasing my By Caprice lingerie collection.

“Liverpool has a huge fashion and music culture, and I’m really excited to be a part of that. As well as my new spring/summer collection, I’ll also be on the decks spinning a bit of hip- hop.”

Designers will include Boudoir Boutique, Arrogant Cat, Samantha Cole, Roza Couture, Phillip Armstrong, Vicky Martin and Gorgeous Couture.

A fashion show at St George’s Hall, which is expected to be hosted by Liverpool WAG Abbey Clancy, will draw crowds on Wednesday.
