Everton drug dealer who stuffed millions of pounds in his kitchen cupboards has more money seized

A LIVERPOOL drug dealer who stuffed millions of pounds in his kitchen cupboard has been ordered to hand over his cash.

Thomas Baker, from Everton, who is serving a 14½-year jail sentence, has been ordered to hand over more than £200,000.

This is on top of a forfeiture order last year of £586,940, when police found half a million pounds stuffed in kitchen cupboards.

Baker has to comply with the confiscation ruling within six months or face an extra two years in prison.

At a Proceeds of Crime hearing at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday, it was agreed that 58-year-old Baker had benefited by £680,000 from his illegal drug dealing activities.

His assets were found to be £207,680 and Judge David Aubrey, QC, ruled that was the amount to be seized.

When Baker, of Salisbury Street, was jailed in January, the court heard that he had set up a Class A drugs factory in his Tuebrook council flat.

Police raided the property and found huge bags of cocaine and heroin.
