Liverpool fashion ‘has the edge over London’
Sophie Anderton returned to the catwalk wearing outfits by Ally Mac.
And Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan, who is the face of this year’s Liverpool fashion week, watched the show from the front row.
Caprice said: “It was exciting to watch the girls come out. I was looking at the fit and how it looks on the catwalk. I have spent a lot of time and effort and money on the business and I have put my heart and soul into it.
“The spring/summer 2009 collection is very bright colours. It’s quite girly and sexy. It’s exclusive to Liverpool, so nobody else in the country has seen it.”
The event also showcased designs from Liverpool and London boutiques.
Caprice said Liverpool fashions had the edge over London.
She said: “I love Liverpool for its shops and fashions, it’s fantastic.
“It’s the originality that I love. Lots of big acts came out of Liverpool. I thought it was a great opportunity to bring the range to Liverpool.”
The former Wonderbra model, who appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, said: “I was so excited to take part in Liverpool Fashion Week and to showcase my collection here.
“And I couldn’t wait to spin a bit of hip-hop after the show.”
Caprice demonstrated her musical talents as she took to the decks at the Liverpool Fashion Week official after-party and performed an exclusive DJ set.
