Mass protests over Liverpool University closure plans

SOS spokesman Paul Athans hailed the protest, but vowed that the fight would go on.
“We are pleased not only with the tremendous turnout today but are overjoyed at the removal of the sentence proposing mandatory closure.
“We’re glad the voice of the students is finally getting heard but we feel there should be a clear line of communication between management, departments and the student body,” he said.
“Today we have won the battle, but we have not won the war.”
