Occupational health provider opens Liverpool base

A COMPANY providing occupational health services to business has opened a new base in Liverpool city centre.

Ellesmere Port-based Health In Business is now operating what it calls a “satellite” medical facility in Hanover Street, close to Liverpool One. The clinic will support local businesses with occupational health doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and a network of councillors.

Health in Business grew out of the occupational health department of chemical giant, Associated Octel.

It was started by senior physician Dr David Gidlow and he was joined by Dr Karen Whiteoak, who is joint partner.

They opened their second clinic in 2004 on the Birchwood Park, in Warrington. Clients include BNFL and Merseyrail and many other companies, both small and large, in the North-West.
