A JURY was taken out of the courtroom yesterday to visit the scene where a policewoman was shot during a pub raid.
Ormskirk dog hand-ler PC Katie Johnson, 29, was blasted with a sawn-off shotgun in the raid on the Hospital Inn pub in Bamber Bridge, Preston.
Yesterday morning, Preston Crown Court was effectively moved to the area around the pub, where they were able to see what they had heard so far.
The prosecution claims Wayne McDonald, 47, of Didsbury, and David Tyrell, 39, of Tyldesley, Wigan, were the raiders who robbed the pub of £12,000 on New Year’s Eve, 2007.
The trial continues.
