A MERSEYSIDE schoolgirl has made it through to the final three of GMTV’s Top Model contest.
Rebecca Dixon, 16, from St Helens, caught the eye of talent spotters and has had makeovers and photo shoots in London.
Rebecca, who is studying for her GCSEs at Cowley Language College, said: “I never thought in a million years that I would have gone this far in the competition.
“It has been a crazy experience.
“I haven’t really modelled in the past, just once for a charity event at school for Willowbrook Hospice.
“I’ve always wanted to work in fashion and I have been thinking about possible university courses for when I am older in fashion buying or fashion journalism.”
Rebecca’s mother, Michelle Dixon, 47, said: "We’re really proud of her, it's just been so crazy as she only just turned 16 before the entry deadline.
“People have often said she should be a model but 20,000 entered the competition and now she's down to the last three.
“She was really excited when she got through to the final three. I know she'd love to be a model, but I know she also wants to carry on her studies and get her A-Levels.”
