Toxteth man facing lengthy jail sentence for minding a revolver

A TOXTETH man has admitted minding a gun after police raided his home following a tip-off.

Officers searched James Adrian’s home on Dec 3 after receiving intelligence.

They discovered a double-action Smith and Wesson revolver with ammunition.

Adrian, of Park Road, appeared at Liverpool crown court via video-link from Walton prison yesterday.

The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to four charges, including possessing a prohibited firearm and ammunition and also possessing a firearm and ammunition when banned because of having previously served a jail sentence.

Judge David Aubrey QC remanded Adrian in custody until March 30 when he will be sentenced.
