THE son of Beatles legend George Harrison has convinced Sir Paul and Ringo to let him use the band's back catalogue for a new computer game.
Dhani Harrison met with the surviving members of the legendary Liverpool group who rarely allow their music to be used for commercial endeavours.
But the pair were said to be “blown away” by the mock-up of the new project which is part of the “Rock Band” franchise.
Sir Paul McCartney said: “The project is a fun idea which broadens the appeal of The Beatles and the music. I like people having the opportunity to get to know the music from the inside out.”
The game will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. The game is set for release in September and is a collaboration between Apple Corps, MTV Networks and Harmonix.
