Divers find two bodies in lake

POLICE searching for a missing florist and her disabled daughter have found two bodies in a lake just yards from their home.

Jude Richmond, 41, and nine-year-old Millie Whitehead-Richmond went missing from their lakeside home on Sunday evening.

Police divers found the bodies of an adult woman and a girl in a lake behind Mrs Richmond’s home in Station Road, South Cerney, near Cirencester.

Millie’s father, Neil Whitehead, who lives in London, is staying in a hotel nearby.

Police officers broke the news of the discovery to Mrs Richmond’s estranged husband, Nick, at Heathrow Airport as he arrived back in the UK from Australia.

It is thought Mrs Richmond was depressed after the breakdown of their relationship earlier this year.
