INCEST monster Josef Fritzl faces a life sentence after he changed his plea to guilty on all charges apparently when confronted in court by the daughter he subjected to 24 years of horror.
Fritzl’s confession surprised his own lawyer, who said: “It must really have shaken him up.”
Court sources said Elisabeth Fritzl, now 42, attended the hearing to face her father for the first time since his arrest last year.
He was also confronted with 11 hours of her videotaped evidence, describing how he imprisoned her in a dungeon underneath their home and repeatedly raped her, fathering seven children.
Fritzl, 73, calmly acknowledged his guilt on the third day of a trial that has shocked the world.
Fritzl now faces up to life imprisonment after also admitting being responsible for the death of one of the children, a twin boy who was only a few days old.
He had initially denied thie allegation along with an enslavement charge.
He had already admitted rape, incest, forced imprisonment and coercion.
