A NEW NHS dental surgery, which already has over 1,000 patients registered, will open in Pensby next month.
Glenside Dental Practice, due to open on April 1, is hoping to cover the lack of NHS provision which has existed in the area since other NHS dentists went private following a new government contract introduced three years ago.
David Speechley, of Glencairn Dental Practice, Bebington, and his colleague of nine years, Simon Wright, will open the new surgery with Mike Stoker, from Hoseside Road Dental Practice, Wallasey.
Mr Speechley said: “We hope that this new collaborative initiative will help to provide the people of Pensby and the surrounding areas with a high- quality, friendly service, under the terms of the NHS.
“We already have over 1,000 patients registered with us.
“I have no doubt we will be able to cope with the numbers as we have some scope to expand in the future.”
