LIVERPOOL skating sensation Ray Quinn has won Dancing on Ice.
The 20-year-old from Childwall beat Liberty X singer Jessica Taylor and journalist Donal MacIntyre in tonight's final.
The former Gateacre Comprehensive school pupil was the hot favourite to win the show.
But he always said he needed Merseyside's votes to waltz away with the crown.
Ray, who has landed the part of Danny in London’s Grease, said: "I love skating and I’ve loved being in the competition.
"It’s been an amazing experience, we started off trying to skate and now, 10 weeks later we were learning choreography for the Bolero.
"One of the best things about being on the show was working with Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and to have Maria as a partner is a bonus. If I could have chosen any partner it would have been Maria, she is perfect."
Ray was strapped into a harness and attached to wires to rehearse his gravity-defying moves with former Bulgarian ice dance champion Maria Filippov.
