Claim a prize with a twist

TO MARK 50 years since the death of Raymond Chandler, Liverpool charity The Reader Organisation is giving away a special set of five Chandler hardbacks.

But there is a Chandler-esque mystery to picking up the prize itself, as would-be claimants are told to: Go to Liverpool Lime Street railway station on Thursday, March 26, at precisely 5.30pm, where one of The Reader Organisation’s undercover agents will be waiting, wearing a white carnation and carrying a copy of the Daily Post.

The set will be given to the first person to make contact with the words: "Excuse me. Do you know who killed the chauffeur?" – or try online for more clues, www.thereader.org.uk
