Jackson & Canter and AS Law merge to create one of Merseyside’s largest private client outfits

JACKSON & Canter and AS Law yesterday announced they will merge on June 1.

They will work together as Jackson & Canter LLP.

The new practice will become one of the largest private client firms in Merseyside, and the partners claim it will offer almost every legal expertise that individuals and families need.

The firm will also be the largest immigration practice in the North West, with 14 qualified immigration advisors.

Andrew Holroyd, Jackson & Canter’s managing partner, said: “The objective of the merger is to provide even better services to the clients of both firms.”

Elkan Abrahamson, a partner from AS Law, said: “Clients have all sorts of different interconnected legal problems, and they want them to be dealt with by one firm they can trust.

“We have always referred work to Jackson & Canter, but now we will together provide a wider range of services and in more depth.”

The practice will operate from Jackson & Canter’s existing offices at 88, Church Street and 32, Princes Road. AS Law’s Myrtle Parade office will close at the end of May.

The practice will have Marcus Johnstone on board who, as “The Speeding Solicitor”, has helped many motorists out of difficult situations when faced with losing their licences. Mr Holroyd said he will offer an “important new service”.
