New police chief for West Lancashire

WEST Lancashire has a new police chief.

Chief Inspector Dean Holden will be the first chief inspector based within the district.

Ch Insp Holden joined Lancashire Constabulary in 1994 and spent time with Pennine Division in uniform and CID.

In 2002, he moved to Preston to work with the force intelligence unit and has also worked outside Lancashire, on secondment with the National Crime Squad.

Ch Insp Holden said: “This is the first time West Lancashire have had a Chief Inspector actually based within the district, which should hopefully send a very strong message to the people who live here that the police and our partners are committed to listening to them and willing to tackle the community safety issues that matter most to them.”
