School holidays scheme rejected
Wirral teachers back standardised school holidays
WIRRAL teachers last night supported standardised holiday patterns.
None more so than Sheena Shanahan, assistant head teacher at Park High School, Birkenhead.
She said: “I work in Wirral, my husband teaches in Sefton and my children go to school in Halton.”
Her parents have had to look after the children because of different term times.
She added: “As long as everyone does the same, it could be fantastic.”
While Steven Peach, headteacher at Oldershaw High, Wal-lasey said: “If Cheshire and Merseyside could come together, it would be even better.”
