A GUNMAN caught roaming the city with a loaded revolver was last night beginning nine years behind bars.
Anthony Bennett, 20, of Harebell Street, Kirkdale, was spotted by police running through the streets of Kirkdale with his face covered.
They chased him and tackled him to the ground on Archer Close, forcing him to drop a loaded revolver.
Sending the father-of-one to a Young Offenders’ Institute, Judge John Roberts said: “This crime was exceptionally serious.
“I have no doubt you had that gun intending to use it in some criminal way that night.”
