TWO BBC presenters had to be watched over by a pair of first-aiders as they changed a car wheel, a spokeswoman has confirmed.
Producers had first-aiders on standby as two BBC Radio Essex presenters took it in turns to take a tyre off a car for a programme about learning new skills.
The BBC said the medical staff were present in case “there were any basic first-aid requirements” when the presenters changed the wheels in the BBC’s studio car park in Chelmsford, Essex.
Caroline Lake, who runs Caroline’s Cars in Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk, was invited on to the show to teach the female presenter how to change a wheel.
