PM hears 20-year files plea

GORDON BROWN will consider waiving the 30-year secrecy rule on all Hillsborough documents to ensure the full truth about the tragedy is finally told.

The Prime Minister agreed to explore lifting the restriction after a plea by Liverpool-born Sports Secretary Andy Burnham yesterday.

It could mean key organisations – including South Yorkshire Police – revealing all information still under wraps, after 20 years.
