In that incident, 34-year-old Marcus McGee was alleged to have been subjected to a group attack and suffered head and facial injuries.
The case is due to go before Liverpool Crown Court on July 20.
The report to go before licensing bosses, drawn up after the latest incident, reads: “Serious concerns exist with regards to the over all management structure of this premises, and the failure to promote the licensing objectives in respect of the prevention of crime and disorder. Merseyside Police seek the suspension of the premises licence until all matters are rectified to the satisfaction of both the police and the Sefton licensing committee.”
Lounge Inn manager Mac Naidoo said: “This is a very serious incident and we are taking all measures to ensure this doesn’t happen again.”
