Toys for the boys as former pupil swoops in to North Liverpool Academy
A SCHOOL’S lads and dads day reached new heights when a former pupil landed his RAF helicopter in the grounds.
North Liverpool Academy saw an army of machinery fill the playgrounds as the school helped boys and their fathers bond over mutual interests.
Simon Chadwick, of the academy, said: “It’s the first day of this sort in Merseyside as far as I’m aware.
“We’ve got BMW/Williams, Porsche and Audi dealerships signed up to drive cars in and that’s just the start of it.
“We’ve been running the annual Pink and Powerful day at the school which has been the biggest event in the school calendar but I think this is surpassing it.
“We’ve had so much support from teachers and all those involved.”
The attractions were not limited to cars, as former pupil Dean Barlow landed an RAF helicopter on school property along with his pilot, Will Robley, from RAF Shawbury.
John Sutch cranes, monster trucks and police quad bikes were also on show.
