Bogus ‘Hitler’ hitman is targeting Sefton residents

A BOGUS hitman, who calls himself Mr Hitler, is terrorising people in parts of Merseyside by sending them threatening emails.

In poorly written correspondence, the man, who has named himself Jacks Hitler, says he has been hired to execute them by a so-called friend.

Trading standards in Sefton was alerted to the scam by a concerned woman from Birkdale and are now warning others to be on their guard.

The threatening email from the man says names, photographs and other important information has been sent to him and he has 10 days to carry out the threat.

But then he goes on to say, in an act of “sympathy” he will spare the correspondence’s life for money – $9,000.

The hoax hitman warns them not to tell the police or anyone else about the correspondence or the lives of other members of their family will be put in danger.

Sefton Council Trading Standards manager Andrew Naisbitt said: “If anyone else receives such emails, please ignore them but contact us with the details and we will look into the matter.”
