SHE has gone from designing for TV’s Brookside to the University of Liverpool and trendy New York City salons.
But the one thing Woolton-based designer Lola Bodansky insists on maintaining is her commitment to the environment.
As a city, Liverpool is now committed to green issues, with 2009 named the Year of the Environment.
But, for some, the simple ethos of using and re-using local and natural resources has always been the mission statement.
Lola is one of the city’s business people trading on the importance of environmental responsibility.
"A lot of European companies are very conscientious about green issues. England is just waking up to the call," she said.
Native New Yorker Ms Bodansky has been working to that ethos throughout her career.
After moving to Liverpool in the 1980s, she worked in television design and production on shows including Brookside.
Turning her hand to interior design, she set up her own company, Inprogress, in 2002.
Now she has decided to trade on her reputation and rebrand as Lola Bodansky Design.
