SIR Alan Sugar has ruled himself out of running for Mayor of London after a poll suggested he would enjoy significant support. The tycoon said the job would be a “walk in the park”, but there would be too many conflicts with his numerous business interests to make it possible.
A poll found 40% of voters would back Sir Alan if he stood as an independent candidate against Boris Johnson.
