BOB DYLAN popped into John Lennon’s childhood home while he was in the city to play a gig earlier this month.
The living legend got on a tour bus by himself and went to the house where the Beatle grew up, now a National Trust property, in Menlove Road, Woolton.
Dylan waited patiently while a guide went through his routine before declaring he loved Lennon’s bedroom, where he wrote his earliest songs.
He also said the kitchen reminded him of his own childhood.
A spokeswoman for The National Trust said: “We’re just delighted that he came, a musician of his stature, and it’s really cool he came on the bus by himself.”
Dylan famously gave The Beatles their first taste of marijuana in New York in 1964.
Earlier this month, Dylan expressed an interest in collaborating with Sir Paul MCartney.
He said: “That would be exciting, to do something with Paul.”
