Countess of Chester Hospital wards reopen after norovirus outbreak

THE Countess of Chester Hospital has re-opened its general wing to visitors after an outbreak of the norovirus bug. But wards 49 and 51 remain closed to visitors, to contain the outbreak of vomiting and diarrhoea.

A spokesman said: “Visitors should contact a member of staff on the affected wards for advice on whether or not visiting is permitted. If you need to visit a patient, call via the switchboard, on 01244 365000.”
