THE Government was warned yesterday that its plans to cut fuel poverty and improve energy efficiency were “underfunded, untargeted and under-prepared”.
A report by Consumer Focus said £3bn a year had to be spent, for seven years, to meet the target of ending fuel poverty by 2016.
And it said that to improve the energy supply network, there needed to be a total investment of £200bn.
