A FATHER who was part of a gang who stole nearly £19,000 worth of designer clothes during a raid on a Liverpool One store is behind bars today.
Sean Randles was a member of the three-strong group who used professional tools to break into the back of the G Star store, on Paradise Street.
After forcing a rear door they stole huge palettes of the fashionable clothing, which were later valued at £18,749.
The gang escaped with their booty following the raid on January 18.
But Randles, 27, was recognised from a still taken from the store’s CCTV footage, after he failed to hide his face.
Roy Brown, prosecuting, told how officers searched Randles’s house on January 22 and discovered nearly £1,000 of the clothes in his garage.
Randles, of Nickleby Close, Toxteth, handed himself into the police five days later.
