Liverpool author Jane Costello signs on in city

LIVERPOOL author Jane Costello will be at Waterstones in Bold Street on Thursday (May 21) from 1pm to 2pm, signing copies of her new book, The Nearly Weds.

The novelist will also sign copies of her hit novel Bridesmaids, which is short-listed for the Melissa Nathan Comedy Romance Award and is set in Liverpool.

The award was previously won by Marian Keyes and Lisa Jewell and judges include Jo Brand, Sophie Kinsella and Joanna Trollope.

Bridemaids has sold more than 100,000 copies since it was released a year ago.

Jane Costello, who is from Allerton and now lives in Burscough, was editor of the Daily Post under her maiden name of Jane Wolstenholme.

The Nearly Weds is about a 27-year-old Liverpudlian who runs away to Boston after being jilted on her wedding day.
