Indian restaurant in Halton is closed by environmental health

AN INDIAN restaurant over-run with rats has been closed.

The Balti King restaurant on Widnes Road, Halton, was closed down by environmental health officers who used emergency powers after finding the infestation.

A full court order was obtained at Runcorn Magistrates Court.

A Council spokesman said: “We will allow the restaurant to reopen once the problem has been controlled.”
