COASTGUARDS have warned of the dangers of “coasteering” after a man died when he jumped off a cliff into the sea.
The man, who was with a group of friends at Cwmtydu, near New Quay, west Wales, died on Saturday after being winched unconscious from the water by a helicopter.
Coasteering involves climbing, swimming and cliff jumping as a means of travelling around the coastline. The group was part of an organised coasteering tour.
