A WOMAN recovering after being shot in the leg has had her house firebombed.
Jackie Turner, 60, was blasted from close range by two hooded thugs who shot through the window of her Rossett Avenue home, Wavertree, last Monday night.
It is understood the mother-of-two was released from hospital over the weekend, but had not returned home, and the house was empty when it was targeted yesterday.
Fire crews were called to the terraced property just before 11pm.
Witnesses say the front window was shot at before what police are calling an “improvised explosive device” was thrown inside.
Witnesses saw two men get into a car which drove off at speed.
Fire crews put out the flames.
The house was cordoned off yesterday as crime scene investigators worked inside.
Last Monday, at around 10.40pm, two hooded figures knocked on the window and front door of Ms Turner’s home. She looked out and shouted something at the pair before one of them opened fire from the pavement.
