Lawyers roll up sleeves to help kit out home for spinal injuries charity

A GROUP of lawyers swapped their briefs for tools last Friday to help refurbish a house in Woolton for charity.

The team, from Irwin Mitchell, rolled up their sleeves to kit out the house, on Vale Road, for spinal injury charity Aspire.

Aspire offers support to people living with a spinal cord injury and owns a number of houses across the country.

They have to be adapted for individual tenant’s needs so they can live independently.

Lynne Carrick-Leary, project leader from the firm, said: “When the charity contacted us to see if we would be prepared to help with getting the house ready for its new tenant, we jumped at the opportunity.

“Due to the nature of the cases we deal with at the firm, we are aware of the excellent work that Aspire does and are delighted to be able to help.”

The tasks include mowing the lawn, assembling flat-pack furniture, kitting out the kitchen, and installing electrical goods.
