Crowds flock to Liverpool's Hub urban youth festival

“This is the first year we have held it at Wellington Dock and the new venue has helped us to attract bigger crowds. The site was more manageable and families felt safer in the enclosed environment. HUB is all about embracing and celebrating youth culture, and I think we have definitely achieved that over the past seven years.

“I would like to thank all our supporters and Liverpool city council for all their help and support, as the event would not be as successful without them.

“We are constantly looking to improve HUB and this year was definitely our best yet.”

Diane Ashley, from Walton, said: “I went along to HUB festival with my 16-year-old son and seven-year-old niece and we all thought it was fantastic.

“Our favourite parts were the skateboarders and the bikers.

“The venue is just so safe and with no alcohol it gives me complete peace of mind.

“This is the first time we have been and I am so impressed. I would definitely come again.”
