Swine flu toll rises

ELEVEN more people were confirmed with the swine flu virus yesterday, taking the UK total to 133, health officials said.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said the new cases were six adults and five children from the East Midlands, London, the South East and the West Midlands.

Four of the cases were returning travellers and seven are linked to previously confirmed cases.

A spokesman for NHS London confirmed four of the new cases were in the capital, taking the London toll to 70.
