Third arrest in Liverpool Norris Green rape gang case

A THIRD youth has been arrested in connection with the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl in Norris Green.

The 16-year-old male, from the Anfield area, was arrested on suspicion of rape after officers executed a search warrant over the weekend.

Two males, aged 16 and 17, who were arrested on Friday, have now been released on bail pending further inquiries.

The 15-year-old rape victim was walking home across a disused railway bridge over Broadway, in Norris Green, at around 8.15pm on Friday, May 15, when she was approached by a gang of six youths, some with scarves and hoods hiding their faces.

They grabbed the girl and dragged her down the embankment into some bushes, where four of them raped her.
