Prosecution drop case after victim dies

TWO men accused of robbing a teenager will not now be prosecuted because their alleged victim died later in a motorcycle accident.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) decided to drop the charges against the pair because 17-year-old Connor Pullen, from Enderby, Leicestershire, is no longer alive to make the court appearance deemed vital to its case.

The decision has been criticised by Connor’s mother, Annabelle Pullen, who believes her son has been robbed of the justice he deserved.

The full-time mother, 37, is now seeking legal advice to see if she can pursue a civil action.

She said: “It’s just disgraceful, the fact that the people who did it could get away with it.”
