Liverpool's Britain's Got Talent Stars MD Productions' knife crime message

THE mother of murdered student Anthony Walker said a TV tribute paid to her son by a dance troupe will help tackle knife crime.

Merseyside-based MD Showgroup highlighted the work done by a charity set up in Anthony’s name moments after their act in the semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent.

The children also dedicated their routine to murdered schoolboy Rhys Jones.

Gee Walker hopes the group’s efforts will spur others to make a difference to reduce knife-related incidents and bullying.

She said: “It is wonderful to see so many young people who believe in, and are actively working towards the cultural harmony that we, as a charity, aim to achieve.

“It’s so rewarding to see young people like MD Showgroup who want to make a change, and go to such great lengths to get their message across.

“Anthony would be proud to know that they are getting the message out that bullying needs to stop.”
